Introducing Wild Gold
Cold-Pressed Camelina Oil Human Supplements
You may already know the importance of polyunsaturated (omega-3s and 6s) and monounsaturated fats (omega-9s) to a healthy diet, but you may not know that the balance of these fats is just as significant to your good health. If not balanced by omega-3, too much of certain types of omega-6s in the diet can result in inflammation, which is associated with a number of health concerns, including asthma and allergies, heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes. Wild Gold Camelina Oil has an ideal balance with a 2:1:2 ratio of omega-3, -6, and -9, respectively.
THE MANY USES OF
Beyond its use as a dietary supplement, camelina oil is also a healthy, incredibly versatile cooking oil. With an extremely high flame point of 475° F (much higher than olive, coconut, canola, and grapeseed), it’s well-suited for moderate to high levels of heat making it perfect for stir- and deep-frying.
Marinades, Vinaigrettes, Sauces
The smooth, nutty flavor blends really well with other flavors to create sauces, dips, and vinaigrettes. It’s ideal for marinades since it doesn’t congeal. And it has a shelf life of two years—much longer than other omega-3 oils such as flax and chia.
Moisturizer For Skin
Camelina oil is also used in beauty routines to nourish and heal skin. The Vitamin E and omega fatty acids help improve skin elasticity, repair damaged skin cells, and prevent free radical damage. And it’s a great hair moisturizer because it provides nutrition to the scalp and gets rid of dry skin, dandruff, and flakiness.

The role of omega-3 fatty acids in cardiovascular disease is well established. One of the best ways to help prevent heart disease is to eat a diet low in saturated fat and to eat foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Clinical evidence suggests that EPA and DHA (eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid) help reduce risk factors for heart disease, including high cholesterol. Several clinical studies also suggest that diets rich in omega-3 fatty acids help protect against stroke caused by plaque buildup and blood clots in the arteries that lead to the brain and lower blood pressure in people with hypertension.
Research indicates that omega fatty acids support key compounds and internal repair systems that operate in response to physical stress. Studies show that EPA and DHA support the resolution of pain associated with physical stress to the back and joints and they promote joint mobility and flexibility.
SKIN & HAIR
Your skin and hair are made up of a series of cells with tough membranes comprised of protein and fatty acids. Without adequate fatty acids, these cell membranes weaken which allows water to escape resulting in dry scaly skin and brittle hair. Insuring adequate fatty acid intake helps nourish skin and hair resulting in healthy skin and shiny hair. The camelina oil in Wild Gold provides a rich source of omega fatty acids to support your skin and hair health.
Omega–3 essential fatty acids have been shown to support lung function, and to promote blood flow and oxygen delivery to active muscle by enhancing blood vessel function. Studies have also shown that they help ease the inflammation that marks chronic lung disease—suggesting that the improvements in lung capacity are a result of the anti-inflammatory effects of the fatty acids.
Camelina oil is the foundation of all of our Wild Gold products. Extracted from sustainable Camelina sativa plants that are harvested from small family owned farms, the oil is produced under cold compression to insure its beneficial nutrients are maintained. Research has shown that the omega fatty acid profile of camelina oil positively impacts cell membrane composition. The omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid found in camelina oil is the same form of omega-3 fatty acid found in certain fish and in plant sources such as nuts and seeds. Many of the oils and fat sources we have traditionally relied upon in our diets such as corn oil and canola oil, contain very low levels of omega-3 fatty acids. The problem is that the majority of people’s diets today are made up of processed foods that contain very little omega fatty acid. Not only does your body need these fatty acids to function, but they also deliver some significant health benefits.
High–intensity exercise significantly increases the demand on the circulatory system to provide oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, lungs, and brain, and to remove metabolic waste like lactic acid. Omega–3 essential fatty acids have been shown to support lung function, and to promote blood flow and oxygen delivery to active muscle by enhancing blood vessel function. Other research–backed benefits include: enhanced cardiovascular function and circulation, support of optimal fat metabolism and body composition, and enhanced exercise performance, endurance, and recovery.
Camelina oil can be massaged directly into the skin as it provides ample amounts of Vitamin E and omega fatty acids. These moisturize the skin and prevent it from free radical damage. It can also be used for a hot-oil scalp massage. This provides nutrition to the scalp and gets rid of dry skin, dandruff, and flakiness leaving hair soft and moisturized. Its antioxidants also protect hair shafts from free radical damage.
