Introducing Wild Gold
Cold-Pressed Camelina Oil Pet Supplements
ORIGINAL
Besides being essential to your canine’s diet, the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in Wild Gold Camelina Oil have been shown to positively impact cell membrane response to trauma and infection as well as reducing inflammation. Recent research has even shown that fatty acids may have the potential to help regulate insulin sensitivity. Wild Gold also contains naturally occurring Vitamin E that not only prevents rancidity of the product but also provides your canine with a potent anti-inflammatory in a form that can be easily digested.

CAMELINA
Camelina oil is the foundation of all of our Wild Gold products. Extracted from sustainable Camelina sativa plants that are harvested from small family owned farms, the oil is produced under cold compression to insure its beneficial nutrients are maintained. Research has shown that the omega fatty acid profile of camelina oil positively impacts cell membrane composition. The omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid found in camelina oil is the same form of omega-3 fatty acid found in the horse’s natural plant-based diet. The problem is that the majority of our pet’s diets today are made up of combined filler ingredients that contain very little omega fatty acids and over supply omega-6 fatty acids. Our pets need these fatty acids to function better along with delivering significant health benefits.
SKIN & SHINE
Your pet’s skin and coat are made up of a series of cells with tough membranes comprised of protein and fatty acids. Without adequate fatty acids, these cell membranes weaken which allows water to escape resulting in dry scaly skin and brittle hair. Ensuring adequate fatty acid intake helps nourish skin and hair resulting in healthy skin and a gleaming coat. The camelina oil in Wild Gold provides a rich source of omega fatty acids to support skin and coat health.
JOINT MOBILITY
Research has shown that after 90 days, horses fed supplemental DHA had lower levels of markers associated with joint inflammation. In other studies, supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids showed an increase in endurance and health. Wild Gold may be of benefit to pets suffering from osteoarthritis as well as performance canines whose joints are subjected to high impact or dogs already suffering from joint inflammation.
HOT SPOTS
The balance of fatty acids in its diet influences the condition of your pet’s skin and coat. The ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids may help reduce itching associated with hot spots due not only to their impact on coat and skin but also their anti-inflammatory properties. Healthy skin generally results in less itching and less shedding.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
The fatty acid composition of our pet’s diet has a direct influence on whether an inflammatory stimulus will escalate or be reduced. Unlike other oils typically included in canine diets, the camelina oil found in our Wild Gold products provides a unique blend of omega-3 and 6 fatty acids. Feeding our Wild Gold products will help insure that your canine’s diet contains the fatty acids necessary to regulate inflammatory response.
