Camelina Sativa

The name “Wild Gold” originated from Camelina Sativa, sometimes referred to as “gold-of-pleasure” because of its golden yellow flowers. Camelina Sativa is native to Europe and Central Asia, having been cultivated in these regions for over 2,500 years, growing well in cold weather. Today, it’s cultivated in North America as well, and the oil extracted from its seeds is used in cooking, skincare products, and commercial oil extraction.

Wild Gold Camelina Oil

When there are too many supplement options available, it is important to research and know what you are incorporating into your horse’s diet. At Wild Gold, we are passionate about equine health, so we are selling high-quality cold-pressed Camelina Oil to take care of horses to the best of our ability. Our oil is locally sourced from directly partnered family-owned farms to ensure nutritional quality, making it an all-natural product supportive of local producers. Additionally, our Camelina Oil has a very long shelf life of up to two years (if kept at the proper temperature) and is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and natural vitamin E that many horses lack due to restricted access to grazing. And if that’s not exciting enough, our oil is GMO, Gluten, and Glyphosate free!

We suggest adding 1-2 ounces of the oil to your horse’s daily feed; it can be used topically as well.
